How do I input touch-tone or DTMF digits?

How do I input touch-tone or DTMF digits? Clicking the buttons on the calling dialpad do nothing once in a call.

 To use touch-tone or DTMF functionality, use the secondary dialpad accessed from the call actions bar. The calling dialpad is used only to make outgoing calls.
