Branding your phone LCD screens
Many of the phones and devices that are available for use on the NCE Network can display a logo on the LCD screen. These logos can be customized for your company, or you can choose to display no logo to your end-users. Each model of phone has different requirements for the format of the logo file. These files are generally grayscale bitmap (.bmp) images.
Polycom
NCE current offers support for displaying a logo on the Polycom SoundPoint 430, 501, 550, 601, 650, 670 and SoundStation 4000, 6000, 7000 phones. Polycom IP phones require a grayscale bitmap image file at differing resolutions and color palettes for each phone. Logos smaller than described in the sections below are acceptable, but larger logos may be truncated or interfere with other areas of the user interface. Polycom IP phones only support the colors listed below. Any other colors will be approximated.
Polycom SoundPoint 430
The SoundPoint IP 430 requires a bitmap file of 94 x 23 pixels (width x height) at a monochrome color depth. The monochrome palette allows for two colors, black (#000000 or 0,0,0) and white (# FFFFFF or 255,255,255). Polycom SoundPoint 501
The SoundPoint IP 501 requires a bitmap file of 114 x 51 pixels (width x height) at a monochrome or 4-bit grayscale color depth. The monochrome palette allows for two colors: black (#000000 or 0,0,0) and white (# FFFFFF or 255,255,255). The 4-bit grayscale palette allows for four colors: black (#000000 or 0,0,0); dark gray (#606060 or 96,96,96); light gray (#A0A0A0 or 160,160,160); and white (# FFFFFF or 255,255,255).
Polycom SoundPoint 550, 601, 650, 670
These SoundPoint IP phones require a bitmap file of 209 x 109 pixels (width x height) at a monochrome or 4-bit grayscale color depth. The monochrome palette allows for two colors: black (#000000 or 0,0,0) and white (#FFFFFF or 255,255,255). The 4-bit grayscale palette allows for four colors: black (#000000 or 0,0,0); dark gray (#606060 or 96,96,96); light gray (#A0A0A0 or 160,160,160); and white (# FFFFFF or 255,255,255).
Polycom SoundStation 4000, 6000
These SoundStation IP phones require a bitmap file of 150 x 33 pixels (width x height) at a monochrome or 4-bit grayscale color depth.
Polycom SoundStation 7000
The SoundStation IP 7000 requires a bitmap file of 255 x 128 pixels (width x height) at a 32-bit grayscale or monochrome color depth. The monochrome palette allows for two colors: black (#000000 or 0,0,0) and white (# FFFFFF or 255,255,255). The 32-bit grayscale pallete is a smooth gradient from black (#000000 or 0,0,0) to white (#FFFFFF or 255,255,255).
Cisco
NCE currently offers support for displaying a logo on the Cisco 7960 and 7940 phones. The Cisco phones require a bitmap file of 90 x 52 pixels (width x height) at a 2-bit grayscale color depth. The 2-bit grayscale palette allows for four colors: black (#000000 or 0,0,0); dark gray (#404040 or 64,64,64); light gray (#808080 or 128,128,128); and white (# FFFFFF or 255,255,255).
